Project - Views & Custom Fields

I have a custom field, let call it Department, pulling data from a lookup
table. This lookup table is tree based, i.e. it has multiple levels (three
in this case). As an example lets assume it is like this:

Department
- UK
-- Sales
-- Engineering
-- Support
- US
-- Sales
-- Engineering
-- Support
- CA
-- Sales
-- Engineering
-- Support

When I create a view I want to filter by this field with anythign under UK.
In Project Server 2003 it used to work using the test 'Begins With' and use
the value 'UK'. This same option doesn't seem to work in Project Server 2007
and when I try it I get the message that the test can only be 'equals' or
'does not equals' for a lookup table.

Are there any ideas on how to get around this orget this working?

Many thanks in advance,

Bara

This option no longer seems to be an option. I agree with you. I am not
sure how to get around this other than specifying all the values available
or opening a ticket with MS on this.

Sorry that I don't have any great workarounds for you.

It's not pretty, but you could add multiple filters ie:

Dept contains Department.UK OR
Dept contains Department.UK.Sales OR
Dept contains Department.UK.Support

etc

Thank you both for your replies. At least this makes sure that I have not
missed something. Bit of a shame it no longer works as it did though.
