Hi,
I have Moss 2007 and Project 2007 installed on our server.
I was told by a Microsoft Project Support Specialist that it is worth while
updating to the latest CU dated December 2009.
Here is some of the step recommended to me:
1. Run PSConfig (the SharePoint wizard)
2. Sharepoint/WSS 3.0 SP2
3. Sharepoint/WSS 3.0 Italian MUI SP2
4. Project sever 2007 SP2
5. Run PSConfig
6. Project Server 2007 Italian MUI SP2
7. Project Client Sp2
8. December CU following the above order (WSS then Project)
9. Run PSConfig
Firstly, how do i know if SP 2 is installed? i do have Microsoft Office
Systems Server SP2 installed... Is that the same?
They are talking about installing Moss, then Project then the project
client, this sounds very important...
So What i did in my test environment:
Run Sharepoint Wizard
?? Install Moss CU Update
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;977026
Description of the Office SharePoint Server 2007 Cumulative Update Server
Hotfix Package (MOSS server-package): December 15, 2009)
?? Install Project Update
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;977266
I get this msg "There are no products by this package installed in this
system???
This a problem? PWA is installed on this server...?
Description of the Office Project 2007 hotfix package (Project-x-none.msp):
December 15, 2009)
?? Install Project Client SP2 (Assuming this is just the normal
Service pack for Project Professional)
Does all this look right/Do i understand everything correctly?
First posted it under Moss but they said i must post it here...
